You can bring some friends along to The Clifton Cellars and spend a thoroughly enjoyable evening learning how to taste, and learning what makes wine so special. The cost is £20 per head, which includes the wines and cheese and biscuits!
WHAT IF I CANNOT GET A GROUP TOGETHER?
No problem. You can book onto one of our Open Tastings and join others. The cost is the same and you can book onto our next one here. Please note that a deposit of £10 per person is required to secure a place. When you make the booking we will send you an email with details of how to pay.
WHAT SHALL WE TASTE?
There is no end of ideas for which wines to taste, such as:
New world/old world – where wines from the ‘Old’ world are compared to their counterparts from the ‘New’ world.
Wines from specific countries such as France, Spain or Italy.
Port – you will taste white, tawny, ruby and Vintage Ports. (This costs £25 per head)
Champagne – always ending up with Dom Perignon or Krug! (This costs £27.50 per head)
Comparison of grapes such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon.
Specialised regions within a country such as Rioja (Spain), claret (France) and Burgundy (France).
So get a group of friends together (around 12 but no more than 18), find an evening from our Events Calendar, and book us up for a lively and educational couple of hours tasting wine!
